Join BCC AD for a corporate workshop on the topic 'Communication Skills - The Art of Listening' with Niamh Briody-Jordan, Regional Partner Middle East of TPC Leadership.

Communication difficulties often develop because we don't know how to listen to one another effectively before responding. Fortunately, listening is a learned skill, and this workshop begins with the fundamentals, to help you decrease communication difficulties in the workplace.

This interactive, fun and relaxed workshop will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills to self-reflect and understand the four basic communication skills.

  • Listening
  • Communicating nonverbally
  • Using your voice
  • Engaging your audience

As well as outlining the various barriers to effective listening, we will take a deeper dive into three types of listening – empathic listening, active listening and autobiographical listening. This dynamic workshop will provide you with resources, tools, techniques and descriptions of some of the most important models regarding communication, such as the Shannon-Weaver communication model, Berlo's S-M-C-R communication model and more.

Alongside this, you will interact and engage with other attendees and learn how to maximise the tools to elevate your communication skills.

Come along, and be prepared to add to your toolbox!
